Conviction and FOMO
Every launch pays 0.70% of its trading volume back to the people trading it, hour by hour. The creator picks, once, who receives it: holders, in Conviction, or that hour's buyers, in FOMO. The token page lists which mode a launch uses.
Try it
pool = $50,000 × 0.70% = $350.00; conviction = pool × 1.0% of supply; fomo = pool × $3,000 ÷ $30,000 bought, at most the $52.50 fee paid
The two modes
| Conviction | FOMO | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid to | Wallets that hold the token | Wallets that bought it that hour |
| Your share | The least you held during the hour, out of the 1,000,000,000 supply | What you bought that hour, out of everything bought that hour |
| Each hour pays | 0.70% of that hour's buys and sells, plus what earlier hours left unpaid | The same |
| At most | Your share of the hour | The fee you paid on those buys |
| Buying mid-hour | Counts from the first hour whose first read finds you holding | Counts in the hour you buy |
| Selling | Lowers your holding for that hour and after | Does not take back what your buys earned |
Conviction
Conviction pays for holding. Each hour, every wallet holding the token receives the hour's pool times the share of the total supply it held.
opcode reads every holder's balance several times an hour, every 10 to 20 minutes, at times it does not announce. Your holding for an hour is the least you held at any of those reads, so what counts is holding through the whole hour. A wallet that held nothing at the hour's first read earns nothing for that hour: a buy at 14:30 starts earning with the hour from 15:00. Sell part of a position and the hour counts the smaller balance.
Every address that holds the token is a holder except three: the curve, the graduation pool and opcode's fee wallet. Their share of an hour is not paid; it carries into the next hour. Early in a launch most of the supply is still in the curve, so most of each hour's pool carries forward, and it is paid out as more of the supply reaches wallets.
A balance counts however the wallet got it: bought on the curve, in the pool, through another app, or sent from another wallet. All of a wallet's accounts for the token count together. The creator is a holder like anyone else.
Example. In an hour with $50,000 of volume the pool is $350. A wallet that held 10,000,000 tokens, 1% of the supply, through the whole hour receives $3.50.
FOMO
FOMO pays for buying. Each hour's pool is split among the wallets that bought that hour, in proportion to what each bought, and no wallet receives more than the fee it paid on those buys.
Sells pay into the pool, but only buyers share it, so the more is sold in an hour, the more of a buy's fee comes back. With nothing carried in:
| In the hour | Back on each buy | Net fee on a buy |
|---|---|---|
| No sells | 0.70% | 1.05% |
| Sells half of what is bought | 1.05% | 0.70% |
| Sells equal to buys | 1.40% | 0.35% |
| Sells 1.5 times buys, or more | 1.75% | 0% |
Outside a launch's first five seconds, a buy never nets more than 1.05% in fees. A buy in those seconds pays the higher launch fee and gets back only its share of the hour's pool, like any other buy.
What a buy earned stays earned if you sell later: an hour's buyers are paid by what they bought that hour. An hour with sells and no buys pays no one, and its pool carries to the next hour's buyers.
Example. In an hour with $30,000 bought and $20,000 sold, the pool is $350. A wallet that bought $3,000 of it, 10% of the buys, receives $35 against the $52.50 it paid in fees: a net fee of 0.58%.
Which mode a launch uses
The creator chooses on the create page, and the mode is fixed for the life of the token, on the curve and in the pool. The token page lists it under Rewards in its About tab. A pool made on opcode's pool configs by another app shows on opcode as Conviction.
Claiming
Open Yours
Yours is your own wallet's page. Its Rewards section shows, for each asset, what you have earned, claimed and can claim, and which launches paid it, with their modes. An orange dot beside Yours means you have rewards to claim, and a launch's page shows what it has paid you under Your position.
Claim one asset
Press Claim on a row. opcode builds one transfer of everything you can claim in that asset. Your wallet signs it and pays the network fee, plus about 0.002 SOL of account rent if your wallet has no account for that stock token yet.
Check it landed
The amount moves to Claimed once the transaction lands, and it is in your wallet.
- When. Hours are UTC clock hours. opcode settles them once an hour, about five minutes past, and an hour settles once the fees behind it have been collected. Fees are collected once they are worth $5 or have waited a day, so on a launch with little trading an hour can take a day or a little more to settle.
- In what. The pair's asset: SOL from SOL pairs, the stock token from stock pairs.
- Stock rewards. Claiming a stock token needs the same xStocks attestation as trading in a stock pair, even if you only held the token. The Rewards section asks for it when you have some to claim. Who can trade
- No deadline. What you earned stays claimable.
- Still being collected. If a claim says your rewards are still being collected, the fees behind them have not all reached opcode's fee wallet yet. Try again in a few minutes.
Go deeperHow an hour is counted
Of every 1.75% fee, Meteora keeps 0.35% and opcode receives 1.40%. The rewards take 70 of every 140 of opcode's share, rounded down to the smallest unit, and the hour's pool is that amount for the hour's trades plus what the hour before carried. Each wallet's credit is rounded down too, and whatever is not credited carries forward, so the rewards never pay out more than the fees behind them. A trade in a launch's first five seconds pays the higher launch fee, split the same way: Meteora keeps a fifth of it and the rewards take half of the rest.
An hour is settled only after opcode has claimed every fee in it from the curve or the pool, so each credit is already in opcode's fee wallet when it appears.
Trades are read from the curve's and the pool's own swap events on chain, each with its fee. Before an hour is settled, opcode's share of the fee in every trade it has read must add up, to the smallest unit, to the fee counter the curve or pool keeps on chain. If it does not, the hour waits rather than paying out a wrong amount.
Conviction launches are read while they trade. A launch with no trades for 24 hours is not read, and what it has carried waits until it trades again.
